Very nice team and very tasty food. Much not as oily as in some other Greek restaurants. The menu offers a lot of choice. All dishes are also offered to take away. We'd love to go there again!

Since our "regular Greek" is unfortunately on summer vacation, we wanted to try a new Greek. Due to the very positive criticism on the Internet, we decided on the "Taverne Ippos". I had a shandy and gyros in metaxa sauce. The positive first: The restaurant is really nicely decorated and the beer garden that goes with it is nice to look at. The waitresses were really hard-working and on the ball! With the drinks there was (as is standard with the Greeks) ouzo on the house. The salad was also very tasty, although I also think that beetroot is not entirely appropriate. When my gyros was served in metaxa sauce, I was really happy because it looked really delicious. But when I started to eat, I unfortunately passed it. The metaxa sauce was just plain greasy. Not that bad in taste, but when you saw how the meat swam in the fat, it just didn't work. Maybe they just had a bad day, but when our Greek is back from vacation we will know where to go to eat again

Would like to rate the food, but after waiting 2 hours we left without anything to eat. Thanks for nothing.

We were guests at IPPOS for the first time today and probably not the last time Essen, the food was very good and portions were also sufficient, but unfortunately, as with almost all Greek restaurants, the side salad was a bit carelessly dressed (can still remember delicious olives and pepperoni) . Service was friendly and the price was reasonable.

Very well made and delicious Greek food! Tender lamb and great grilled shrimps. Unfortunately I missed the lemon water for washing the hands for the shrimp and the vegetable rice tasted like after 3 days in the fridge. But the entertainment is great and the atmosphere is great!

"COME AS A GUEST, GO AS A FRIEND!" It is exactly like that !!! Super attentive and friendly service from a very warm family! And the most important thing - ALWAYS super delicious food. Taverna Ippos does not only have the typical dishes known from the Greek. There are many different dishes to try that you don't know yet. And what can I say ... everything we have tried so far was delicious. At the beginning we came as guests - now we are friends!

We are going lately into the pub Ippos. It is always great and excellent. Whether in the summer in the beer garden or now with a bit cooler temperatures in the restaurant, it is cozy and very family. The host always friendly, always with a smile and very accommodating. The kitchen is a dream. The appetizers are the gastronomic madness. We always take some appetizers. The table has to be full. Recommendation: Fava and anchovy fillet with sesame. The The desserts we do not always come. The food is very good and a lot. The Taverna Ippos is always a recommendation value.
